Important Features

Pluto in Virgo (29° Vir 42′) Pluto in the First House

Pluto in the First House (or sign) gives a personality with a tremendous drive for self-transformation. You can be timid or unsure of yourself, but there is the potential for sudden bursts of anger due to repressed emotions finally exploding. You may have feelings of insecurity which are compensated for by being overly forceful. You can be compulsive, or obsessive in achieving your will. This tendency must be overcome or modified in some way. Your challenge is movement away from feelings of insecurity and resulting separateness and loneliness, toward an acceptance of other’s needs and opinions in order to generate a new and better sense of self. In positive manifestation, you have a dedication to higher ideals and a willingness to be a channel for healing yourself and society.

The following applies to your generation as a whole as well as to you personally:

Pluto in Virgo (or the sixth house) gives a personality with a compulsion to be of service to other people. This compulsion can take the form of activities which are intended to be helpful, but which may not truly be appreciated by the intended beneficiaries. You could also be obsessive regarding health issues, or regarding organizational detail, which is intended to purify the particular activity, but which can become an end in itself. There is a need for transformation in these areas, in order to learn how to be of actual service to yourself and others, such as a career in the helping professions, or working on your own issues in such a way as to regenerate your values and life direction.

Sun in Capricorn (4° Cap 00′ 29″) Sun in the Fourth House

The Sun represents will and purpose, the sense of vitality, and the evolving higher Self. In Capricorn it is Cardinal-Earth, and rules the bones, skin and knees. Your ruling planet is Saturn. Capricorn people are ambitious and practical, and have an excellent sense of social responsibility. You are conscious of social mores, to the point of over-concern. Your natural caution allows you to advance slowly and steadily to the top. Capricorn represents the accomplishments of the material: prestige, honor and success in public achievement. However the driving force behind your ambition may be deep-rooted feelings of insecurity or low self-esteem. Life is not easy for those with this sign. You tend to put yourself under enormous pressure to perform, and feel yourself responsible for those around you. You may have suffered from a restrictive early environment, or your aloofness may serve to protect you from close contact with others, which you may fear. You exemplify the values of work in service to the goals of humanity, and your redemption comes from allowing the love you feel to express itself in deeds of kindness.

The Sun in the Fourth House represents a concentration of the vital force of self-nurturing and taking care of those closest to yourself. Your inner, spiritual world is more important to you than mundane achievements. You seek your own roots, your own sense of security, your own inner needs. However, your personal identity and needs can be confused with your need to identify with your family. Your sense of nurturing was shaped by the parent you were most emotionally close to. You may have a need to distinguish your own sense of self as separate from your family. You may alternate between over-identifying with your family or under-identifying with them. Your task is to learn what types of family experiences truly nurture you and others in order to discard those which do not serve you well. You may make a prolonged search for your roots in order to discover your own source of personal security. You do best when you allow yourself to explore the variations of your inner needs so that you can nurture yourself and be able to share your capacity to nurture, and be nurtured, with others.

Neptune in Sagittarius (1° Sag 48′) Neptune in the Third House

Neptune in the Third House (or sign) gives a clever personality with subtle charm. You are witty and poetic. You are fond of higher education, but you tend to be a dreamer and may miss out on serious study because of it. You may have confusion where close relatives are concerned, and there may have been feelings of insecurity or confusion in your early years, which caries over into adult life. You can be indecisive and worrisome but you are also broad-minded and creative mentally. You need to learn to focus your creative potential, which is considerable, and let yourself become a channel for higher forms of thought to flow into your own life, and that of society.

The following applies to your generation as a whole as well as to you personally:

Neptune in Sagittarius (or the ninth house) gives an impressionable, idealistic and very intuitive personality. You are inclined to the mystical, and are high-minded, seeing life in terms of visionary and poetic feelings, rather than in practical terms. You are capable of great belief in the unknown and unproven. You have a desire to explore and travel, to try new ideas and experiment with new ways of doing things. You may be attracted to spiritual studies, or psychedelics, as a way to achieve a transcendent state of mystical union with all creation. Your challenge lies in relying on your considerable inner vision to unfold your own unique pathway and to make concrete and real your flights of consciousness to other realms, and bring this vision to society.
