Okay, so I have a series of albums I’ve collected over the past year or two that I’ve been meaning to listen to and review, but I haven’t gotten around to it, and it’s now the last day of the year. So I’ve decided to add a little feature to my blogging for the next week, where I’m going to go through my collection and pick out the new(ish) (I guess that means 2010-1011, although there are also a couple from 2009 that I discovered quite late) albums I’ve been neglecting and give them the listen-as-I-write treatment. A number of these albums I’ll be hearing for the first or second time, as I’ve been a bit busy and have been doing the damnable thing of collecting music to listen to and then setting it aside to hear old comfortable favourites while I work.
So that’s my plan for the next week. I may actually post them on a few blogs, to spread them out a bit and give people a chance to breathe a bit. I tend to do reviews here and on Eddie Mack Avenue, but I also have the Etcetera Thesis Music Blog, where I think I’ll put the weirdest ones.
For the record, today is going to be the Steves: Steve Hackett (here), Steve Howe (Eddie) and Steve Wilson (Etc). Should be fun. Maybe I’ll even actually get some story writing done today. We’ll see.
As always, thanks for reading, and catch you in about an hour with the first of the three albums.
